VCA Safety, Health, and Environment Certification for Operational Supervisors

Learning targets

Operational supervisors must be able to identify potential hazards and risks that employees may face. It is also important for them to be aware of their tasks and responsibilities concerning safety, whether mandated by occupational health and safety regulations (Arbowet) or not.

In this training, you will become aware of possible hazards and risks associated with various tasks. You will develop skills to ensure your employees can work as safely and healthily as possible. After completing the training, you will be familiar with relevant legislation and be able to assess the hazards and risks of tasks adequately. This way, you can lead your team to work with safety awareness.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Regulations and safety rules
  • Safe working practices, consultation, and prevention
  • Work equipment, hazardous substances, and electricity
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Fire and explosion
  • Accidents and emergencies

During the lessons, theory is presented through presentations, practical examples, and case studies from the water authority sector, in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Catalog for water authorities.

At the end of the second day, the official VCA exam, recognized by ECABO, will be administered. This is a digital exam consisting of 70 questions, with 75 minutes allocated to complete it. The exam is conducted by PBNA. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive the recognized VCA diploma, valid for 10 years.
