Refreshing the basic skills
Learning targets
How is your basic knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, and physics? And are your study skills, such as reading comprehension and distinguishing between main points and details, well-developed?
In the course “Refreshing Basic Skills,” you’ll discover how valuable it is to revive this knowledge and these skills before you start working towards earning your diploma for the Basic Water Production course, the Basic Water Distribution course, or the Wastewater Treatment Technology course. This will help you focus better on the specific course material required for those programs.
After completing this course, you will be proficient in performing mathematical calculations, applying physical formulas, and understanding chemical symbols and reaction equations. Additionally, you will know which study skills are essential for the aforementioned (basic) courses and be able to use them to successfully complete your exams.

Target group
The Refreshing Basic Skills course is designed for water professionals without a technical vocational (MBO) education who want to properly prepare for the Basics of Drinking Water Production Course, Basics of Drinking Water Distribution Course, or the Wastewater Treatment Technology Course.
Learning together
In small groups, you will practice problems from the course materials of the various programs. Together, you will discuss the results, focusing on the approach to solving the problems and how to formulate the correct answers. You will also receive homework to practice.
Our group-based approach creates an enthusiastic learning environment where you can engage in meaningful discussions about both the course content and your work situation.
Entry level
Your background includes a VMBO-level education. Additionally, we expect you to have some knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, and physics.
