Introduction to Sewerage Technology

Sewerage is an indispensable part of our infrastructure, yet it often remains out of sight. How do you learn to understand the invisible?
After completing the Introduction to Sewerage Technology course, the various sewer systems and how they operate will no longer be a mystery to you. You will understand the components that make up sewerage systems, such as manholes, pumping stations, overflow structures, and stormwater retention basins. You’ll also be familiar with the most commonly used materials in sewerage technology, as well as the basic methods for installation and renovation. Additionally, you will be able to read and utilize sewerage drawings in your work.
The Introduction to Sewerage Technology course is a mandatory training in the Netherlands for aspiring sewer inspectors, serving as a prerequisite for the Visual Sewer Inspection for Inspectors course. By understanding NEN-EN 13508-2+A1, the European standard for the investigation and assessment of external sewer systems, you will be well-prepared for this advanced training.
