Basics of Urban Drainage and Sewerage

Citizens should be able to rely on a municipality that effectively fulfills its responsibilities regarding watermanagement. This is essential for a healthy living environment. What knowledge and skills do you, as a water professional, need to ensure that urban wastewater, stormwater, and groundwater are well-managed?
In the Basics of Urban Drainage and Sewerage course, we have divided the municipality’s broad water-related responsibilities into three clear modules: Policy, Future City, and Existing City. You will gain insight into relevant legislation and learn the ins and outs of sewerage management. We make concrete how topics like policy and goals, as well as the interaction between existing and future cities, are connected.
Upon completing the training, you will be able to apply essential skills, such as developing a water and sewerage program. You will learn to design and size a simple sewer system, considering important factors like climate change. You will gain strategic knowledge of sewerage management and be able to create a management plan. Additionally, you’ll know how to assess and evaluate the condition of sewer systems.
