Basic Training on Musk and Beaver Rats Control

Learning targets

The muskrat and beaver rat dig burrows and tunnels in flood defenses, which poses a risk to the stability and safety of these structures, as well as to people and the environment. An effective preventive method is trapping these animals. This requires not only knowledge of nature and legislation but also an understanding of population dynamics and the behavior of the species. By understanding how these animals reproduce, behave, and develop, you can tailor your tracking and trapping techniques accordingly.

In this training, you will learn about the muskrat and beaver rat, their habitats, the legislation and code of conduct, tracking methods, and approved trapping techniques. Additionally, you will train your communication skills to handle any public resistance effectively.
