Learning targets

Employees of water authorities regularly deal with potentially risky tasks. In this training, you will gain insight into the specific risks you may encounter in your work. You will also learn about your tasks and responsibilities concerning safety, as well as the role your employer plays in this. By the end of the training, you will be able to recognize potential hazards and risks in your work and respond to them appropriately.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Regulations and safety rules
  • Safe working practices, consultation, and prevention
  • Work equipment, hazardous substances, and electricity
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Fire and explosion
  • Accidents and emergencies

During the lessons, theory is presented through presentations, practical examples, and case studies from the water authority sector, aligned with the Occupational Health and Safety Catalog for water authorities.

At the end of the second day, the official VCA exam, recognized by ECABO, will be administered. This is a digital exam consisting of 40 questions, with 60 minutes allocated to complete it. The exam is conducted by PBNA. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive the recognized VCA diploma, valid for 10 years.
