Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data
Wateropleidingen processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Informing you about the start of a course or training program, interim changes, and results
- Aligning the content of the program with your learning needs
- Providing your account for the portal and Digital Wateropleidingen
- Providing your account for examinations
- Handling your payment
- Sending the newsletter, mailings about potential follow-up courses. Preferences can always be adjusted, and you can unsubscribe at any time
- Researching new course topics or improving existing ones

How long do we retain your personal data?
World Water Academy retains your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.
We retain job applications for up to 1 year and delete them afterward. If you become our new colleague, we will retain your data as long as necessary.
With whom do we share your personal data?
World Water Academy does not share your data with third parties unless you have given prior consent, or World Water Academy is legally obligated to do so, or if it is part of the agreement.
You share your learning goals and prior education with instructors so they can tailor their lessons accordingly.
