Wateropleidingen achieves CO2 certificate level 3

On July 4, Richard van Kuringen from DNV presented the certificate for the CO2 Performance Ladder Level 3 to Gabriëlle Knufman, director of Wateropleidingen. Achieving this certificate is proof of our commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness. We are proud of this achievement and will continue to focus on further CO2 reduction.

The certificate not only provides recognition but also brings benefits. It strengthens our position in tenders, showing that we are serious about our CO2 reduction efforts.

Quantitative Objectives for Level 3

The CO2 Performance Ladder is a tool that helps organizations reduce their CO2 emissions. The aim is to operate with climate awareness while also saving costs. The ladder consists of different levels, each imposing higher requirements regarding the insight, reduction, and transparency of the organization’s CO2 emissions.

Level 3 of the CO2 Performance Ladder means that Wateropleidingen has established an official CO2 emission inventory according to the ISO 14064-1 standard, verified by an independent institution. Additionally, we have set quantitative objectives for our CO2 emissions (scope 1 and 2). This level focuses on the emissions of the organization itself. We also actively participate in a sector and chain initiative aimed at CO2 reduction.
