Special investigative officers are legally required to follow a training program within a five-year cycle in the Netherlands.
Continuous Refresher and Further Training
The Continuous Refresher and Further Training (PHB) is the training program that special investigative officers (BOAs) are legally required to follow. It consists of 4 modules provided over a 5-year period. Within this period, every BOA must obtain 4 certificates:
- Legal Frameworks – General Environment
- Legal Frameworks – Specific Environment
- Sanctioning Actions
- Color Trace Specific Application
World Water Academy provides the 4 mentioned modules of the PHB within Domain II (Environment, Welfare, and Infrastructure) foremployees of water authorities and waterway managers. We offer these training programs exclusively as in-company courses, upon request by various organizations.
The exams, and thus the content of the PHB, are determined by an independent national examination institute (ExTH – Examination Institute for Supervision and Enforcement). There are 2 theoretical and 2 practical modules.
