World Water Academy and the consultancy firm TwynstraGudde have joined forces , to develop and implement a high-quality training program tailored to the needs of the Dutch High Water Protection Program (HWBP). To achieve this, all existing courses have been analyzed, updated, and adjusted where necessary. New courses have also been added. This is essential because the HWBP faces a significant challenge: by 2050, all flood defenses must meet legal safety standards. To accomplish this, both management and program directors need to have adequate personnel resources, in terms of both quantity and quality.

As a dike worker, the training program offers a wide range of opportunities. The program is tailored to various fields, such as HWBP and general knowledge, project management, project control, environmental management, engineering, and contract management. There is something for everyone, whether you want to explore a specific subject, specialize in a field, or seek deeper knowledge as an experienced dike worker. For senior staff, Masterclasses on relevant topics are available. In addition, there is a focus on personal and team development, with activities designed to encourage continuous learning. Alongside individual courses, we also offer customized interventions for teams.
