E-learning Assetmanagement

Background

The Waternet Academy collaborated with Wateropleidingen to develop the “Asset Management” learning pathway. Learning materials and activities were tailored for each target group. One of these activities is an e-learning course on asset management, aimed at providing team leaders with basic knowledge on the subject. The team leaders then apply this foundational knowledge in case study sessions, where real-life examples are discussed and analyzed together.

The e-learning was fully customized for Waternet. Based on the learning objectives of the water utility company, Wateropleidingen developed a structure for the e-learning. It is characterized by a balance between different ways of acquiring knowledge. For example, the e-learning includes assignments, texts, and case studies, videos featuring Waternet experts, animations, and interactive images.

Thanks to active collaboration with Waternet experts, it was possible to incorporate knowledge and practical examples from the organization. Additionally, all animations and images are easily recognizable to employees as they are designed in Waternet’s corporate style.

At Waternet’s request, Wateropleidingen built the e-learning in Lectora, the professional software tool that Waternet also uses for its e-learning programs. This choice allows Waternet to maintain, update, and modify the e-learning after delivery by Wateropleidingen.
