Strengthening Water Collaboration Between South Africa and the Netherlands

The Bilateral Joint Steering Committee meeting between South Africa and the Netherlands took place on March 10, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding on Water.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to continued collaboration in the water sector & was chaired by Water Envoy Meike van Ginneken and Director-General Dr. Sean Phillips at the Department of Water and Sanitation, South Africa.

Partners, including World Water Academy, Blue Deal South Africa, Wetskills, and Invest International, provided updates on their projects and progress within the partnership. Knowledge exchange and innovative solutions were discussed to address mutual water challenges. As partner and member of the Joint Steering Committee World Water Academy remains committed to supporting the implementation of the bilateral MoU and strengthening cooperation in the water sector.
